California Language Center Tuition, Refund and Attendance Policy

The California Language Center offers classes throughout the year with separate terms for winter, spring, summer and fall. Tuition is paid for a full term in advance. A firm commitment to a class schedule by both student and teacher is vital for a student’s progress. Teachers make plans around the schedule that students agree to each term and for those reasons the following policy is strictly enforced:

1. Tuition paid in advance for a term will be completely refunded up to the first day of class.

2. Classes cancelled by a teacher are 100% refundable.

3. Cancellation of a class by a student 24 hours or more prior to a class will   receive a credit of ½ the paid tuition for that class on the following term.

4. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to a class will not be refunded or credited.

5. Classes are held at a student’s home or work. Student must provide workspace in kitchen, living room, office or dining room

6. Classes start when a teacher arrives at a student’s home or worksite.

7. Classes starting late because of a late arrival of a teacher will continue for the full class time.

8. Classes starting late because of a student will stop at the scheduled completion time

9. An adult must be present at the home at all times. A teacher can not remain at the home if the adult leaves even for a short errand.
